Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. The comedian appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, better than the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actor, writer and stand-up comic. Bea started her professional career in stand-up comedy in 2011 after playing small roles that she acted in Irish and British television dramas from 2009. By 2012 she was regularly being featured on sketch comedy programs and sitcoms. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on numerous panel shows for which she was a frequent guest. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her are Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. She is only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born on March 16, 1984, in Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet, who committed suicide when Bea turned three, was a suicide victim. The news of his passing at thirteen years of age. In 2017 she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also took on the stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea, along with her younger sister Sinead, were raised by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Their family was passionate about horses and races. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that the racing industry wasn't for her.
